Privacy Policy
Effective 1 October 2026 · Developer: Ruan Vermeulen
About this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Druglord+, the Android game developed by Ruan Vermeulen (package com.emberfall.druglordplus). It describes the current Google Play beta and release builds. Effective date: 1 October 2026.
Player names and game saves
The name you enter, your game progress, inventory, finances, runners and local scoreboard are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. The name is a game nickname, not an online account; you do not need to provide your real name. The game does not upload your name or saves to a developer-operated server. Local update preferences also remember when a required Google Play update has been detected.
Google Play updates and platform services
Druglord+ uses Google Play’s in-app update service to check for and install available updates. Google documents that this service processes device metadata, the application version, and a list of installed modules and asset packs to determine update availability and size. Google states that this data is encrypted, is not transferred to third parties by the update service, and is deleted after a fixed retention period. Google operates this service under its own terms and privacy policy. The developer does not receive your Google password or payment details from the game. Google Play may provide the developer with store statistics, testing feedback, and crash or application-not-responding reports under Google’s platform settings and policies.
Diagnostics and support
The standard Google Play build disables the app’s periodic memory diagnostics. Development or separately distributed diagnostic beta builds may write technical memory measurements to Android’s local system log; this feature does not upload those logs. If you voluntarily email feedback, screenshots, a save file or a device bug report, the developer receives the information you send, including your email address. Bug reports may include information from other apps or your device, so review them and remove unrelated personal information before sending. Support information is used to respond to you, investigate problems and improve the game. It may be processed by the email service used to handle your message.
Advertising, permissions and sharing
The current game has no advertising, analytics tracking SDK, online player account, or in-app purchases. The game does not request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, camera or photo library for gameplay. The developer does not sell your personal information. Local game data is not sent to other players or to the developer automatically. Platform services and information you choose to send for support are handled as described above.
Storage, security and device backups
Game data is stored in Android’s app-private storage. Google describes update-service data as encrypted. Email and device security also depend on the services and settings you use. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Android or your device manufacturer may back up and restore app data according to your device and account settings; the game does not operate its own cloud-save service, and the developer cannot access your device backup.
Retention and deletion
Local saves and update preferences remain until replaced or removed. Starting a new run replaces the current autosave. To remove all local game data, use Android Settings → Apps → Druglord+ → Storage → Clear storage (wording varies by device). This permanently removes your local progress. Uninstalling normally removes app-private data, but a device backup may restore it when reinstalling; manage or delete backups through your device or backup provider’s settings. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on your request, unless longer retention is required by law. Email the contact below to request deletion of support information; any necessary legal retention will be explained. Data held independently by Google or a backup provider is subject to that provider’s retention and deletion controls.
Audience
Druglord+ contains fictional drug trading, crime and combat themes and is intended for adults, not children. The game does not ask for a date of birth. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the developer, contact us so that we can investigate and remove it where applicable.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated when the game’s data practices change. The effective date will identify the latest revision. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact Ruan Vermeulen at contact@emberfallpress.com.
